BROKING FOR GOOD
Insurance to Impact
About us
Broking for Good (registered charity 1216849) is powered by the insurance broking industry and committed to protecting and restoring our oceans and waterways.
We fund UK charities, non-profits, and community projects that create real, lasting change - from restoring habitats and protecting marine life to tackling pollution, improving water quality and inspiring people to take action.
By bringing together industry support, science and grassroots action, we turn donations into impact. Together we're helping create cleaner waterways, healthier marine ecosystems and a better future for our waters and the communities that depend on them.

Our Mission

Funding
Broking for Good funds impactful environmental projects that protect and restore our waterways and marine ecosystems. We provide grants to charities and organisations working on habitat restoration, endangered species protection, waterway cleanups, and initiatives that improve water quality—locally and globally. Every grant is awarded based on clear environmental outcomes and proven impact.
Research
Broking for Good supports vital research into water quality, marine biodiversity, and the effects of pollution and climate change on aquatic ecosystems. We promote open access to research wherever possible and work with our partners to ensure findings are shared widely—informing the public and influencing policy for lasting environmental change.

Awareness
Broking for Good promotes initiatives that reduce environmental harm and advance sustainability. These include programmes to cut single-use plastics in communities and businesses, school-based projects that encourage water stewardship, and support for innovation in sustainable marine practices such as biodegradable alternatives and circular economy initiatives.
Education
Broking for Good partners with charitable and not-for-profit organisations to raise awareness of the key issues facing aquatic systems. We fund educational campaigns, support outreach in schools and local communities, and provide resources for environmental events and media projects. Partnerships are chosen for their ability to engage the public and inspire long-term behavioural change.
